There have been huge breakdowns happening all across the globe. From wildfires in Canada, floods in different parts of Asia, soaring temperatures in the US and Europe to the latest wildfires in Greece. But how will any of these affect the fashion industry? Yes, It’s the supply chain of the industry.

Earlier, when one particular region is affected by a climate breakdown, brands relied on other regions to offset their huge supply and demand cycle. But if the fallouts are happening everywhere, where could that lead to?

It’s not just the supplier's and manufacturer’s job anymore to make sure the production is happening at any cost. The fashion industry needs to collectively come together to re-think the strategies to build a resilient value chain to navigate the climate crisis and reduce emissions wherever possible while also making sure that workers are protected from weather extremes.
